Tsimba, known as Tsimka, sings mostly in Shona, and is inspired by popular musicians, Oliver Mtukudzi and Freshlyground.

A decade ago, Tsimka played for South African rugby team Free State Cheetahs.

“Music is important. It makes people relax freely when they are at home or driving and my music tell stories of hope, love and joy, but I don’t shy away from hardships and suffering.”

Tsimka started to fall in love with music in 2003. He learnt how to play drums, flute and acoustic guitar and later on decided to release an album.

“After many years trying to be a professional musician, at last my dream has come true. My music style is Zimfluence,” he said.

Besides music, Tsimka coaches the Impala rugby team in Rustenburg, is a rugby presenter on TV and is an ambassador for Rugby Without Borders in South Africa.
