Residents say that the burst took almost twelve hours without being attended to despite numerous calls made to the local district office. Harare continues to lose treated water through leaks and this has adversely affected water supply hence the need to employ effective and efficient maintenance strategies.
We would like to implore residents of Harare to make use of our Ushahidi platform which can be reached on www.tauratinzwe.org to report on any water or sewer bust they encounter. This will go a long way in reducing the amount of treated water being lost through leakages.
