Best memory
I cherish the time when we beat Australia in the Davis Cup first round in 1998, winning 3-2 away in Australia. It created an amazing atmosphere back in Zimbabwe.
Best match
While I cannot remember the year, it was when I won my first Senior Tournament back home. It was an invitational tournament for the top 16 players then and was called the Kadoma Classics. I think I beat Jeremy Dutoit in the finals.
Best Venue
The Old Hararians back home had an amazing atmosphere.
Best accolade
Getting my first School Colours back in the day was an amazing experience as a young boy.
Best opponent
Jeff Cotzee, the South African. I remember playing against Jeff in an International Tennis Federation (ITF) Futures Tournament at Ellis Park, Johannesburg, South Africa. He was an all-round player at the time. He returned well, moved the ball around so well. Overall, he was very creative.
Best apparel
Nike and Wilson. Not that they are better than other firms but just an opinion. Nike makes quality clothing and I love the Wilson racquets.
Best prospect
My best player at the moment is Richard Thongoana, the top junior player in South Africa and the continent. He is at my Johannesburg-based academy, Intensity Tennis Centre.
Best player ever
Roger Federer, the Swiss star. For me he is a genius in the game. Technically, I for one believe he is the best in the history of the game.
The guy moves so well. He is a complete player in the sense that he can play from the back, up at net and throw in different shots the way any other player will not do. In addition, his stats are out this world. I do not think they will ever be broken.
Best Zimbabwean sportsman ever
Peter Ndlovu, the retired footballer. He is a great because of the way he played the game. He was quick on the wings and scored great goals.
