Group leader Wisdom Nkomo told The Zimbabwean this week that the group had reunited for a second offering, titled Igazi Elihle.
“We have revived the group and held a number of performances already, as we prepare for the launch of the new album,” said Nkomo.
“This is the beginning of our big struggle to see our music grow worldwide. We want to change people’s lives as we bless them with polished and well-composed songs.”
Nkomo said that Ibutho Levangeli also wanted to develop a capella music, widely-known as isicathamiya, and also help keep young people away from crime and drugs.
