The promotion is currently confined to South Africa, where Standard Bank is assisting to select the winners randomly using its computer systems. Winners are guaranteed a whopping R10,000 each for doing business with the money transfer agency, according to Peter Mureu, the Senior Marketing Executive.
So far, a Ghanaian and a Kenyan based in South Africa have been confirmed as winners.
In October, Agyeiwaa Opoku Agyemang, a Ghanaian based in Thohoyandou won, while in November the prize went to Pretoria-based Peter Mullimwonga, who hails from Kenya. The December winner will be announced shortly.
