Warriors

I would like to thank the Warriors team for making us proud at the just-ended 2014 African Nations Championship. Zimbabwe settled for fourth place, but it was a huge achievement for the boys -something that has not been achieved by any group of Warriors in any continental tournament. – Shadreck Mlilo, Pretoria.

The Warriors disappointed me by missing penalties against Libya, but I must say George Chigova stood out to be a hero, saving the two penalties.

He has a bright future ahead of him. – Tichaona Mupepeti, Dzivaresekwa.

Ian Gorowa has made history and should be given a contract. He also needs to maintain and nurture this group of Warriors for the next big shows. I believe in this national team. – Peter Macheka, Tafara.

Kudakwashe Mahachi is the best player in the Warriors side. He will go far, but he needs to learn to release the ball quickly. He tends to be too stylish sometimes. – Owen Tapera, Chitungwiza.

Zifa needs to reward the Warriors financially. The Association has a huge debt to cover. They need to realise the need to reward the players. This is one way to curb match-fixing. – Tashinga Mupindu, Bindura.
