The group become a household name since the release of its debut album, Ifa Likababa last year. They are also in the process of shooting their first DVD to further build on that instant success.

In their second album titled, “Ishoba Lezangoma”, fans get special mention in the song, “Izwi Lendoda”. “The support we have received has been phenomenal, hence our decision to dedicated a song to our fans,” said Butholezinsizwa Dube, who produced the 12-track album. “Some fans went out of their way to market us at a time when support from companies is hard to come by. People like Mchasiseli Gwaza-Gwaza, Hayibo Dube, Mlungisi Tshabalala, Mqondisi Dube and Fikile Maseko, who has especially helped us with songs and also allowed her young children to dance for us, deserve special mention. We admit in the song that we are nothing without the support and hard work of all our fans.”

Comprising Zimbabweans and South Africans, the 10-member group will take a March-April tour of Zimbabwe.

“We have performed in nearly every province in South Africa and now is the time for us to start touring the region,” added Dube.

The group has already been booked for shows in Bulawayo, Maphisa and St Josephs in Kezi, about 75 kilometres southwest of Zimbabwe’s second-biggest city.

The shows will produce snippets to be used in the group’s first DVD, to be released later this year.

The top-selling musical outfit is one of those dominating play on South African radio stations like Ikwekwezi FM, Thembisa and Ukhozi FM.
