The two giants clash in the Zimbabwe Bob90 Cup Final, slated for Rufaro Stadium. DeMbare got a bye in the semi-finals on the basis of being defending champions of the Cup. Bosso outshone Harare City 2-1 in the semi-final, courtesy of goals from national team players Peter “Rio” Moyo and Milton Ncube, to book a date with their perennial rivals.
Bosso, beaten to the championship on the last day of a fiercely-contested race last season, would be hoping to turn the tables on a side they have often found very difficult to beat in a number of occasions.
The Bulawayo giants have made big signings for the new season – Felix Chindungwe, Welcome Ndiweni, Charles Sibanda and Zimbabwe international, Kudakwashe Mahachi being some of the stars they have roped into their arsenal.
Mahachi, who was interestingly also on the radar for the Glamour Boys, started training with Bosso on Thursday. The former Chicken Inn player, who will be leaving for South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns in June, is one of the key players expected to set the weekend action alight for Bosso.
On the other hand, Dynamos would be hoping to use the weekend match to assess their new signings, who include former Bosso star winger, Masimba Mambare, Themba Ndlovu, Tafadzwa Rusike and Ronald “Rooney” Chitiyo, who scored the club’s solitary goal against Mochudi Centre of Botswana during the African Safari last weekend.Post published in: Football
