The comedian continues to break boundaries in his quest to professionalise the art of stand-up comedy. “Because of my love for the arts, it was a natural progression to form a company where we can help artists in varying genres and initiate perfect business models,” he said.
The agency is a talent and brand management venture representing diverse artists – actors, musicians, comedians and singers – under one label. It is designed to build credible brands, better events and enhanced corporate brand recognition among local and international artists.
The agency has already signed 10 artists, including Botswana-based classic musician Cedric David Ncube, United Kingdom-based actress Pam Sahanga, who features in Nigerian films, DJ Chucknosis, former Africa Revenge singer Tazz and stand-up comedian Michael Kudakwashe – who was upbeat that the agency would give his career a milestone opportunity to excel. Ncube said the enterprise would witness lots of cross pollination among artists and also facilitate an effective marketing strategy for every artist. “Our project will cultivate a culture of artist management that will build bigger, bankable, exciting brands that represent Zimbabwe with distinction in various spheres of entertainment,” he said.
