The defamatory flyers, bearing a stolen Women of Zimbabwe Arise (WOZA) logo are being distributed at night in streets and public places such as beer halls and churches.

The flyer accuses the MP of using the parliamentary constituency office as a brothel.

In a telephone interview with The Zimbabwean, Nyathi confirmed the flyers but attributed their origination to state security agencies working closely with some misguided party supporters.

"There are definitely the foot prints of CIOs in all these flyers. The CIOs are clearly working with some members from my party who were obliviously not happy with my election as an MP. Anyway I will not be detracted by these flyers and lose focus in my efforts to develop my constituency," said Nyathi.

The MP said he has already reported the incident to the police. WOZA has also distanced itself from the flyers.

"Once again some coward from the Pelandaba/Mpopoma constituency has chosen to steal WOZA logo. A staff member working at the parliamentary office handed over a flyer found at the office accusing the MP of using the office as brothel. WOZA disassociate them from the flyers and have briefed legal representative," said WOZA leader, Jennie Williams in a statement.

Williams said this is the third time that WOZA logo has been stolen in similar way.
