The two officials were unveiled to the party supporters with former MDC 99 president Job Sikhala who also rejoined the Morgan Tsvangirai led party after almost 10 years.

MDC-T showed those that gathered for the rally Zanu (PF) party regalia that it claimed to defectors who had decided to join their party.

Speaking at the rally Mkhosi who is also a co-chairperson of the Constitutional Parliamentary Committee that had coordinated the writing of a new constitution that was adopted last year, said he was returning to MDC-T to fight Zanu (PF).

"When we formed the (united) MDC our vision was to have leaders who would represent the people's interests. People in my constituency were always asking me why we were fighting each other when it was clear that our common enemy is Zanu (PF). I decided to come home and fight Mugabe under a united front" said Mkhosi.

Speaking at the same rally, Sikhala said he was happy to join the MDC.

"I am happy that I have come back home. We agreed (with Tsvangirai) that the time for personal egos is over and we need to be united in order to remove Zanu (PF) and Mugabe from power," said Sikhala amid cheers and ululation from the crowd.

Sikhala said he agreed with Tsvangirai to take the MDC back to the fighting spirit of 1999 when the party was formed.

"We would like to complete what we started in 1999. We are going to devise strategies not to let Zanu (PF) steal elections again. We are not waiting for 2018 to remove Mugabe. He should go now," said the outspoken politician.
