AFEX Chief Executive Officer Edward Abankwa said while they were expecting a delegation from Zimbabwe as per the norm, executives from the female version of the “Beautiful Game” had also confirmed their participation.

“We are still finalising the delegates list and I will be in a position to fully inform you of the Zimbabwean contingent next week,” said Abankwa.

“Normally we have representatives from the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League, Zimbabwe Football Association and some of the PSL clubs. I know for sure that Miriam Sibanda of Twalumba FC, who has recently been appointed Head of Women Football in Zimbabwe, will be attending this year and will be bringing along some colleagues,” he added.

“Quality content and networking for attendees at AFEX is always paramount, and great speaker panel and quality networking among industry peers is guaranteed for the 2014 edition. We aim to continue on our mission to deliver value for the African sports and football community by providing a platform aimed at improving quality standards in the operation that transcends into success on the pitch,” he said.
