The winger will miss the rest of the season due to a foot injury he sustained in a SA Premier League game recently.

The skilful player has been in and out of the star-studded Mamelodi Sundowns team, chasing a first league trophy since 2005, due to a series of other injuries.

He is walking with the help of crutches and is in plaster – possibly until Sundowns finish their last round of matches – with four remaining now. He is also set to miss out as The Warriors attempt a third ever appearance in the African Nations Cup.

“This is part of the game, but it’s painful having to watch your teammates play good football while you are out injured. It’s not good but there is nothing I can do except to give them all the support they deserve,” Billiat said in a recent interview.

Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane said he would miss the Zimbabwean for the rest of the remaining games, but was happy with the return of another Warriors man, Cuthbert Malajila, at this crucial stage of the league race.
