Sulu’s public relations manager, Joe “Local” Nyamungoma, said “We will play our first show in Johannesburg and then break the ground for our fans who have never seen us live in Kappa. We are honoured by the promoters who saw it necessary that we should reach every corner of SA. We have been receiving a lot messages from our fans in every corner of SA and now it is time to please all of them.”

A happy Sulumani said, “I will only talk on the stage, fans should come in numbers in our first ever show in Cape Town.”

Since last year, Sulu has become a household name, especially in Gauteng province where he has performed in places like Soshanguve, Johannesburg and Germiston.

Sulu, who has managed to preserve his late father, Simon Chimbetu’s legacy, is prominent for his hit song Batai Munhu, which features celebrated star-singer, Jah Prayzah, Njiva, Nesu and Nhambarakishon among others.
