The Select team were a group of players who had previously been chosen to play at the trial from a talent identification perspective. Their strong showing at the trials was not enough however to overcome a spirited Harare North side, who went unbeaten in the trial. Central are a side made up of players from Gweru, Kwekwe and Masvingo based schools who grew in stature during the tournament. Central's win in the last match brought a pleasing end to their campaign. Matabeleland and Harare South played moments of great rugby, but will need to ensure they are more consistent in the future if more favourable results are to be achieved.
The national selectors completed the trials with a possibles v probables match. From the Old Mutual National Rugby trial the following team has been selected to represent Zimbabwe at the U14 Craven Week Tournament in Durban (30th June to 5th July):
