Sithole lives up to expectations: Meyer

The Zimbabwe national team player joined the Urban Warriors soon after The Warriors reached the semi-finals of the African Nations Championships earlier this year. He was one of the stars and that helped him land his two – year contract with the Cape – based side. “Sithole has lived up to expectations. When we signed him, we had an idea of what we were getting because we had seen that he was the type of player to suite our style of play. He was clearly a natural player,” said Ajax media liaison officer, Mark Meyer.

“We are happy with how he has adapted. That is why he has commanded a regular place in the youthful side.”

The former How Mine talisman scored crucial goals for the team and helped the Cape Town-based side escape relegation.The only dampening factor in Sithole’s first season in the Absa Premiership was that he got a groin injury during one of Warriors’ games, but he recovered from it quickly.
