It is already showing in the supermarket, featuring prominent names in music and modelling circles. Simba Gee Productions publicist, Luckmore Mazoza, said the commercial was a stepping stone for the city and the company. “There are more commercials underway with other outlets. We will be releasing more video productions this year,” he said.
The company was formed by videographer Simbarashe Gwati, better known as Simba Gee, after the successful launch of his debut video compilation album titled 14 Carat. He has worked with an array of celebrated musicians such as Stunner, Sani Makhalima, Victor D, Shinsoman and Trey Young.
Mazoza said the production company was expected to document various projects by Mutare-based artists. Currently they are working in conjunction with a music promotion company called Warehouse Project Events, which organise live shows for local artists.
