Bosso’s loss to DeMbare, inflicted by Washington Pakamisa, came as a shocker for the Bulawayo giants, who entered the match with a clean 11 games unbeaten run. Their opponents had already lost four times, losing to even league returnees, Chapungu.

Bosso coach, Kevin Kaindu, said it was time to forget the loss, which meant the Glamour Boys have prevailed over the Bulawayo giants for eight years, and focus on the game ahead.

“The boys were obviously disappointed by the defeat away to Dynamos. Preparations had been done prior to the game to ensure that we broke the jinx that we have not beaten them for long, but that did not succeed,” said Kaindu.

“We now need to psych-up the boys and prepare them both mentally and physically for the coming matches, starting with the fixture against Black Rhinos. Hope is still there to win the championship because it’s still a long way to go. In any case, we are just still in the first half of the season,” he added.

Highlanders remain the highest scorers with 20 goals, while also conceding the least at eight.

How Mine, Hwange and DeMbare, who are tied on 22 points at the top of the log, should win their weekend fixtures to maintain their spots. How Mine, coming from a 0-0 draw with FC Platinum, travel to the Lowveld for a date with Triangle, while Dynamos meet Chicken Inn.

Hwange, who were handed their first home defeat by the fast-foods side over the weekend, travel to the capital to meet an on-fire Caps United.

ZPC Kariba -now the only team yet to taste defeat, host log anchors Chiredzi FC, who have only managed six points out of a possible 36 so far. Harare City clash with Shabanie Mine, after the former were held to a 1-all draw by Chapungu, who will on the other hand, meet Buffaloes.

A date between Lloyd Mutasa’s FC Platinum and Bantu Rovers will wound up action of Match Day 13.
