“There will be surprise features on my album. It will feature a Zambian and a South African artist but I can’t say more on that. I want it to be a surprise to my fans,” said Dongo in a recent interview.

The album, expected to be released on July 26, features 10 tracks including the hit single called Handisi Kumira – which is already causing a frenzy shortly after its release.

The single received overwhelming cheers from patrons during an explosive performance at the recent Miss Zimbabwe beauty pageant. The track also topped the Power FM Charts last week.

Dongo said he would be drifting from his trademark love songs, exploring other social avenues. “This album is different in terms of sound and concept. I’m not mainly focusing on love songs as I did in my previous projects. I’m going a step further highlighting other equally important aspects of the society,” he said.

The Ndashamisika hit-maker added that his forthcoming project was a clear indication that “I’m here to stay.” The album is expected to feature four videos with Handisi Kumira’s set to be released soon.

The offering was produced by MacDonald “MacDee” Chidavaenzi of Eternity Productions, who said he was impressed with the reception the first single received locally and abroad.

The award-winning producer has over the years produced a string of hits, such as Tinodanana by Teererai Mugwadi and Muti WeMusango by Extra Large.
