The rocky defender is rated highly by his new managers, who believe his experience will be vital in their upcoming games and help the team stay in the elite league.
According to United Chief Operations Officer Peter Koutrolis, Chipeta is one of the most reliable defenders at the team and his vast experience in the game will help them keep their PSL status.
“We are delighted to have roped in such a top class player, especially now that we have many players in the team who are still new to the PSL and need guidance and exposure,” said Koutrolis.
“Chipeta is an influential player who has already impressed our technical team, following his good showing with The Warriors in January in the CHAN tournament, where he was part of that formidable Zimbabwean team that reached semi-finals.”
The former Hwange defender on Wednesday tasted his first pre-season friendly game against Bidvest Wits in Cape Town, although ending the game on the losing side as Chippa were walloped 4-1 by the hosts, Ajax Cape Town.
