Mukamba has not had a good stay at Wits since he signed from Dynamos about two seasons ago, having been restricted to cameo roles as The Students try to rise up the ladder of respectability in the Absa Premiership under Gavin Hunt.

He believes his time has come to prove his mettle in a different camp, new season and away from Johannesburg.

“It’s every player’s wish to have game time and I am glad that I have been given another chance to prove myself with the AmaTuks,” said Mukamba early this week.

“I always want to be on the field of play as soccer is what I love and know best, hence I pleaded with Wits to let me go and get some game time somewhere else. I am pleased with this opportunity given to me, which I believe will help me revive my career even at international level because I still want to play for my national team. The support and appreciation I have been getting from the AmaTuks technical team and management has been awesome.”

Coach Steve Barker also believes Mukamba is one of their best catches for the coming season.
