A club official said he was valued as a key figure in the Amazayoni team and was still needed.
"He is a very good and experienced goalkeeper who can feature for any team in this league," said the official. "We should always remember that Murambadoro has been instrumental in this team. A few seasons ago he saved us from relegation while he was on loan from Wits and he showed character as deputy keeper last season. His new deal will see him being with us for another two seasons and we would appreciate working with him even beyond that period."
Prior to the extension, Murambadoro’s contract with Amazayoni – signed at the beginning of last season, was set to run till June next year.
A happy Murambadoro said his new focus was on helping the Mpumalanga side fight to become one of the best clubs in the league.
"The management has shown confidence in me and I must prove to pay back their trust with good performances. My experience between the posts is a huge advantage and will help the club," he said and expressed hope of landing a starting berth in the club this season.
Murambadoro's compatriot, Tendai Ndoro, also penned a new deal that should dispel early rumours that had linked him with a move to a different club.
"Rumours have been said about my next move, but I am glad to say I am not moving to any team and that I am very happy at Black Aces, where I recently extended my contract. I am looking forward for a new season," said Ndoro.
Another Zimbabwean international, Tinashe Nengomasha, has also been trying his luck at Amazayoni, after he saw little game time at Bid Wits University last season.
