Scores of fans are eager to get a sneak preview of who will take over from Zimbabwe’s previous contestants, socialite Pokello Nare and Munyaradzi ‘Hakeem’ Mandaza. However, names have been kept a close secret.
Inquisitive followers contending to wait till the opening set for September 7 have set the social media abuzz speculating on possible contestants.
When the auditions were held in July at Meikles Hotel, a long list of prominent people were spotted, including musicians Taurai Mandebvu, Mudiwa, Tatea DaMC, BaShupi, Thomas Chizhanje (CST), Brian Nyawo, actor Hillary Indi and Brian Chiyangwa.
Mudiwa immediately distanced his presence at the venue from the auditions.
Only five finalists were whisked away to South Africa for final selection, and only two housemates have been selected to represent Zimbabwe.
Songstress Cynthia Mare has also distanced herself from BBA and former radio personality Tinopona Katsande is no longer eligible after losing her passport.
Investigations by The Zimbabwean’s showbiz reporters seem to be zeroing in on social media comic and rap artist CST as a possible housemate.
CST has been posting cryptic messages on his official Facebook page that suggest that he might have won a slot to represent the country.
“Off to SA for the next few weeks, maybe months,” posted CST recently.
Whether his posts are anything to go by or simply one of his many jokes, BBA fans will discover when the curtain goes up on September 7.
