I am a housewife and I am currently six months pregnant, my husband just got me a maid with the help of my mother-in-law who helped him literally hunt for her. My mother-in-law does not like me, in fact she never liked the fact that her son married me and she always says it to me.

I recently discovered that this maid is my husband’s ex-girlfriend and she has no respect for me whatsoever. My husband loves me but I don’t think he realises the trap his mother is trying to set here. He has always told me not to worry and that his mother will come to accept me. This maid flirts with my husband and I have a strong feeling she was actually instructed to act that way by my mother-in-law. I urgently need your help. – Priscilla

This maid of yours is definitely bad news. She is there to destroy your marriage and if everything you have said is accurate, it’s sad to say your mother-in-law and this maid maybe planning to take over your home. You need to work with your husband to fire this woman.

Get the help of your sister, mother or any relative who can hire a maid for you, someone you can trust, and someone who will respect and listen to you. Since you are sure your husband is on your side, let him know that you are not comfortable with the set up that his ex-girlfriend is your maid. This is a typical marriage don’t.
