Zim actors survive car accident

Zimbabwean actor and musician Thokozani Thubelihle Ncube and two fellow actors survived a car crash last week in Tembisa, Ekurhuleni, when the car they were driving was involved in a head on collision and the driver of the other car died on the spot.

Ncube survived without bruises but his two colleagues, Qiniso Dlomo and Bridget Ncube, were seriously injured.

Ncube, born in Plumtree, has postponed the release of his movie entitled Ziyenzeka, which was supposed to be out at the end of this month.

Ncube told The Zimbabwean: “I’m quite shocked about the accident. It almost ruined our acting career. I have decided to suspend our shoot until the two actors are properly healed. As soon as they are better we will continue.”

He said his movie talks about people without proper education. Without education it says life is unbearable, tough and challenging. Those affected survive through picking disposable things in the dump-sites.

Ncube is concerned about the suffering of his fellow countrymen in South Africa, especially those without education. He urges them to have something that will back up their lives in future.

He said people must not just float into other countries without proper education, or they will end up as beggars. The movie encourages the youth to prioritise education.
