There is also an image of her with legendary newscaster, Godfrey Majonga, director of Danhiko Project. Grace’ hand is resting on the handle of Majonga’s motorised wheelchair.
He appears to be manoeuvring his mobility device, by way of a joystick, but the caption of the photograph says ‘First Lady assisting Majonga,’ which is really like saying that a fly on the windscreen of a lorry is somehow ‘helping the driver.’ The cruel irony is that every man and his dog know how Majonga sustained his disability. Yet those who may (or may not) have been responsible for his injury use him to score political points.
