Maphosa was arrested on 22 October 2014 by Masvingo police at Roy Business Centre where he was taking pictures of houses that had been burnt by the police.
Meanwhile, Wezhira Community Radio station manager Micah Zinduru, has been called for questioning by officers with the Criminal Investigation Department in Masvingo in connection with this matter. Maphosa works for the same community radio initiative.
Maphosa’s camera and accreditation card were confiscated by the police upon his arrest.
