
She released her third album last month and is not looking back. Chambati, now living in South Africa, told The Zimbabwean: “My new album is a mixture of afro dance and gospel. It has been welcomed by my fans in SA and abroad.”
“The title track of her album Ndinokuda in 2007 was a hit and is still in demand. After releasing it Rachael went quiet in the music business, become a pastor and committed her life to serving the children of God. She released her second gospel album in 2012 called New Beginning.
Now she has bounced back in the industry with a great dance album called Mamoyo. It has been done in many African languages including Shona, Nyanja, Swahili, English, Zulu and Venda.
“Whenever I perform in and outside South Africa, I have overwhelming support. The album will unite Africa as one nation with one reason to love one another. I have plans to perform in countries like Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania and abroad,” she said.
“I write my own songs. Passion and love of the industry drive me to do better. I want to grow in the business and dedicate all my time and efforts in music.”
