This will not be an easy race for punters as three Zimbabwean horses also line up the field. Champion trainer Lisa Harris fields two of them – Marumbala and Demitasse, while Alyson Wright takes care of Tallie Two, ridden by Sherman Brown.
This race, which is the main feature event of the day, is reserved for female horses that are four years old or below.
Coincidentally, fillies appear to be dominating racing at Borrowdale race course as Equina, who won the Zimbabwe National Army Charity race the last time around, has been the most dominant force in both Grade One and Grade Two races.
The Fillies Stakes will be run over 1,600 metres with a stake money of $9,000 and the winning horse guaranteed $5,400. Harris, with four horses in the race, also sends out Wisteria Way, while on top Cornie Spies also fields the consistent Felan, Gee I Jane, and Olympic Goal.
Not to be outdone, Ghokan Terzi will field Eversolucky, while former champion trainer, Kirk Swanson, has not nominated a single horse from his stable.
