The modest Midlands side did the unexpected when they held Dynamos to a one-all draw after extra time, before they sent the Harare giants to a crushing 4-2 penalty shootout defeat.

“I am the happiest man on earth. This is the proudest moment of my coaching career,” said Zuze, whose best moment before the One Wallet triumph was taking Monomotapa to the final of the Mbada Diamonds Cup in 2012 that they lost 2-0, ironically to Dynamos.

Zuze dedicated the trophy to the whole Triangle community, who he said had been very supportive throughout the season, despite the side not having performed to their best in the league.

Zuze said should they avoid relegation, this would turn out to be their best season so far, as most teams in the Premiership did not have any silverware to show.

“My focus of attention is to see that we are in the Premiership in 2015. It does not make any sense to win a trophy and then get relegated the same year.”

Triangle are in 12th position with 28 points, just above Black Rhinos who are on 27 points and Shabanie Mine, who have 26 points. Bantu Rovers and Chiredzi occupy the two bottom places.

Triangle are one point behind How Mine and Chapungu who have 29 points Four teams will be relegated at the end of the season, when they will be replaced by four teams to be promoted from Division One.
