The Zimbabwe international helped his team salvage a point against a star-studded Mamelodi Sundowns, when the two clubs eventually ground out a 0-0 league draw.

The Warriors right back was in terrific form for the Cape Town-based outfit, who regained promotion back into the topflight Absa Premiership League at the end of last season.

He told The Zimbabwean that his good performance for the club was a way of showing the coaches that they had not made a mistake in giving him the chance, which he vowed to grab with both hands, after he missed the first games this season due to a delay in the arrival of his work visa.

“I’m thrilled to have finally made it into the starting line-up. I knew that my time would eventually come, as I kept on working hard now the only thing left for me is to cement my position. That should not be a difficult task, considering my experience,” said the former Hwange star.

The former Chipangano captain conceded that he would still need more game time to be guaranteed a starting berth at the club, as time on the side lines had affected his fitness levels. That saw him get substituted towards the end of the Sundowns game due to cramps.
