Migi rose into fame during his stint with famous jazz guru Bob “Headmaster” Nyabinde where he was the leading bassist. Since breaking from Nyabinde’s outfit to form his own jazz band in 2012, the pint-sized vocalist has been a hit.

“I am aware that our fans have been impatient for us to produce a new album. So I just want to assure them that it’s not going to be long before their wishes are fulfilled because we already in the studio recording the new album,” said Migi.

His 2012 album titled My Joy quickly won the hearts of hordes of jazz lovers in and outside Kwekwe. The compilation, which had sing-along tracks like Magumo, Bliss, Ruregerero, Zvaitwa and Musiyano, saw the group going all the way to winning the 2013 Chibuku Road to Fame national competition, beating other seasoned outfits like Gweru-based True Colours, Afro Storm and Afro Breeze.

The lead vocalist’s ingenuity on the acoustic guitar and litheness on stage has been his biggest pull factor in public performances.
