Pasuwa set for a move

Dynamos are set to decide on the future of their four-time title winning coach, Kalisto Pasuwa, otherwise rumoured to be on his way to cross-town rivals Harare City.

Pasuwa said early this week that he had played his part at DeMbare, adding that it was the time to leave somebody in charge. “My time has come. It is now time for someone to take over,” said Pasuwa.

Club chairman Keni Mubaiwa said they would meet Pasuwa this week to review the team’s performance in the just-ended season and see whether Pasuwa’s contract was worth extending or not.

He laughed off suggestions that they had been talking to Caps United’s Taurayi Mangwiro, with the view of him taking over.

“Too many people have asked me about that but I am not aware of such developments. Should anything come along the way, we will let our fans know,” said Mubaiwa.

Club secretary general, Webster Chikengezha, said a coach is guaranteed his job on the strength of his achievements. He said Dynamos would look at the events gone by and decide whether Great Kali could stay.

Pasuwa is now the only coach to have won the local league title four consecutive times and should he stay, he would be hoping to improve on his Caf Champions League record, which has seen the club fail to go beyond the second round since he took over.
