“We are just warning him that he should just pack his bags and move off the farm before we forcibly order him to do so,” said Simon Munyowa, a local war veteran. Bhasikiti dismissed the threats arguing that he got the farm during the country’s land reform programme.
“I got the farm the same way everyone else who owns an A2 farm got it and those calling for me to leave the property are just day-dreaming,” he said.
Acting Masvingo provincial chairman Paradza Chakona said the party would investigate. “If there are any anomalies we will take action, because people are complaining,” said Chakona.
