“As mothers, we wield tremendous influence over our children, the youths and our husbands. I berated all those implicated in the fanning of factionalism within the party and those engaged in vote-buying ahead of congress and discouraged this malpractice in the future,” said Grace.
“I also spoke very strongly against the harassment of street vendors by our law enforcement agencies, urging them to adopt a humane approach when dealing with those found on the wrong side of the law but who are seeking to eke out an honest living out of their trade in order to support their families.”
Grace paid tribute to Zanu (PF) youths for their support during her Meet the People rallies and showered praise on Oppah Muchinguri for having paved the way for her to lead the Women’s League.
“I wish to salute Comrade Muchinguri’s magnanimity in opting to cede the post to me when she has been doing her job so well. She is a shining example of the hallmark of a true revolutionary cadre of the party who puts the interests of the party ahead of her own,” said Grace.
