Sunday Mail removes ‘comrade’ titles

The Sunday Mail, with its usual language of sycophancy has, in keeping with Zanu (PF) policy of falsifying history, already yanked the ‘comrade’ titles off the chests of Francis Nhema, Nicholas Goche, Didymus Mutasa, Olivia Muchena, Webster Shamu and others linked to Joice Mujuru, like soldiers stripped of their medals – an indication that the Mujuru faction will be excluded from cabinet.

Last year, after pilfering the vote, Mugabe took all of three months to come up with a cabinet. Who can blame him? He is choosing from a collection of inept people. At least then, he had a larger pool to select from. With several Zanu (PF) dissenters deemed ineligible, the President will be pulling at the remnants of his hair.

Even when he gets round to identifying his politburo and cabinet we expect no miracles because this is the same clique that has failed the country for the past three decades. He will need large doses of magic to revive the economy – perhaps the same magic that transformed the grey hairs of 1980 to jet-black in 2014.

Now that the rented chairs have been stacked and loaded back to storage, 14 million Zimbabweans, who have endured 14 years of economic misery, unemployment, water shortages, power outages and waterborne diseases, are left asking several questions:
