War vets to get increase

At the congress, Zanu (PF) confirmed that Robert Mugabe would stand as presidential candidate in 2018. Without bothering to deliver even one of his 2013 promises, Mugabe already plans on prolonging our misery, and that’s from a man who is so far gone, mentally, that he chants slogans against his own party – ‘down with Zanu (PF).’

A surgeon who consistently botches surgeries would be sacked, a CEO whose company habitually produces a negative balance sheet would soon be removed by the board of directors. After 34 years of failure, the name ‘Mugabe’ should, quite frankly, not appear on any ballot paper. Mugabe’s only claim to fame is that of ‘liberating the country from the British’ – a people whose fingerprints appear nowhere on the crime scene of 90% unemployment, cholera outbreaks, corruption and genocide.

At the congress, Zanu (PF) also resolved to increase the benefits of former liberation war combatants, which is a clear sign of the madness prevailing at Rotten Row. The party infamously starved its delegates at the youth congress, until Mugabe dug into his bottomless wealth reserves. Last week’s congress was only possible after a period of vigorous begging. Government hospital doctors earn $282 a month basic pay and we can only manage one police car per precinct. Even the ghost of Einstein would fail to comprehend just how we expect to increase war vet allowances on our empty coffers.
