The South African Boxing Federation has extended the invitation to the Masvingo Boxing Federation to take part in the tournament, which is being held in honor of the late south African leader Nelson Mandela who himself was a boxer.
Secretary general Festus Dumbu said the Masvingo boxing federation would include boxers from other provinces.
“We are going to hold a series of preparatory matches and for us to have a strong team we are going to scout female boxers from other provinces,” said Dumbu, who is also a former legislator for Zaka West. The South African Boxing Federation will meet the costs of the Zimbabwean contingent once it crosses the Limpopo River.
