Thousands of catfish spill on to road

Emergency services have come to the rescue after 4.5 tonnes of live catfish slipped out of the back of a lorry in China.

The accident in Guizhou Province led to a frenzy of activity as firefighters rushed to the scene to help catch the fish.

In an effort to keep the fish alive hoses were deployed and then a bulldozer was commandeered to help scoop them up and get them back on board.

A faulty catch on the back of the lorry is being blamed for the mishap.

Autotuned dog sounds like Kanye

A man autotuned his pet dog with the surprising result that it sounds rather like Kanye West.

The lovable, autotuned pooch went viral after he was caught on camera by owner Dale Roossien crooning the tunes of the world famous rapper.

And he received an unbelievable following after the footage was uploaded to YouTube with internet users loving the music. Mr Roossien uploaded the clip two years ago but it has only recently captured the public’s imagination, nothing up about 178,000 hits.

YouTube user Peter Popoff said: “I’d buy this album before I even thought about buying anything from Kayne.”

Mountain biker takes on ultimate challenge

A mountain biker has gone viral after he was filmed tackling one of the world’s most dangerous trails.

More than 1.2 million people have watched the terrifying clip on Michal Kollbeck taking on the White Line in Sedona.

The video, filmed by a drone camera, shows the Polish daredevil gradually making his way along the near impossible route carved into an almost sheer rockface in Arizona.

After completing the route he manages to turn – at one stage cycling down an almost vertical drop – to complete the return journey.

Kollbeck told the Huffington Post that he decided to cycle the trail after walking along the route and sleeping on it for a couple of days.

He let air out of his bike’s tyres to achieve extra grip and then adjusted its suspension to take on the challenge.

“The key was to block out the scary thoughts about the potential danger, so I just focused on the trail and not on the terrifying space around me.” he said.

Sheep ram-raids electrical store

Staff at an electrical wholesaler are feeling a little sheepish this week after they were ram-raided by a lone sheep.

Having hopped over a local farmer’s wall, the woolly jumper walked over a mile to the YESSS Electrical store on Houston Industrial Estate, Livingston, West Lothian.

After head-butting the door and cracking two panes of glass, the sheep entered the store, running staff amok.

Branch manager Mark Ramsay (seriously!), 40, from Livingston, said staff were chasing the sheep down the aisles for over 15 minutes.

“It was surprisingly quick and nimble,” he said. “We get all sorts of customers in store, but this is definitely the first sheep.

“It had the staff chasing their tails for a quarter of an hour. It definitely pulled the wool over their eyes.”

Staff finally managed to collar the sheep and manager Mark contacted a local farmer who came to collect it. The store is reportedly planning to put a sign on the door.

Woman made to wash before coach left

A woman was ordered off a coach and taken to a bathroom to wash because she smelled bad.

A driver and security official at London Victoria Bus Station were filmed discussing one of the passengers on the coach, the driver asking: “What do I do here? I’ve got a smelly one on.”

LBC reports the woman was taken by security staff to the station’s toilets, where she was told to wash.

After five minutes of washing she was allowed to return to the bus, which set off 15 minutes later.
