These detentions, no matter or what form they may take, these will not deter us from carrying our mandate to reach out the suffering masses especially in Mashonaland West who have been neglected for too long,†said Mandava. This comes a few weeks after Vice President Thokozani Khupe was detained at Magunje police station on 18 July during her tour of Hurungwe district.
The police referred us to provincial spokesperson Clemency Mabgweazara, who said he needed to verify the allegations before making a comment. He had not done so by the time of going to press.
