Zimbabwe Civic Education Trust [ZIMCET] held twenty five (25) Public Achievement activities in Goromonzi district and one(1) nhimbe in Buhera South, ward 33 during the week ending 4 March 2016. The Public Achievement sessions continue to groom young people into effective civic actors in their respective communities.

Youths conducted activities such as clean up campaigns, anti-child marriages campaigns and human rights awareness in their local wards. Local actors such as local bussiness people, village heads and councillors supported the initiatives of the young people through various donations that included food stuffs. The Public Achievement project is promoting and encouraging communities to be sustainable through utilising locally available resources to advance community development.

During the same week ZIMCET and Heal Zimbabwe Trust held a nhimbe in Buhera South ward 33 that targetted more than sixty (60) community members.The nhimbe was a follow on to a capacity building workshop for community structures: peace committees, peace clubs and animators held in Buhera.

The nhimbe was meant to impart more knowledge to the people of Buhera on the National Peace and Reconciliation Commission and the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission. The community worked together and harvested one of the community members’ field.
