Katsonga, a former Minister of Labour was defeated by an independent MP Nicholas Dausi whoile Kalebe, a former Economic Planning and Development lost his seat to Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Lefani Thyolera.
According to a press release issued by the Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) on Monday, the appointments are with immediate effect.
ESCOM was previously chaired by Professor Donton Mkandawire who is now ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Mzimba Central Parliamentarian while LWB was under the chairmanship of Ken Kandodo, current Minister of Finance and DPP Member of Parliament for Kasungu Central.
