We later discovered that the stands we re-allocated to other people while we were the rightful owners. I wanted to begin building, but when I arrived at my stand I found someone digging the foundation for a home. She was able to show me her plans that had been accepted, and the card that proves ownership of the stand which I have a duplicate of.
There is corruption in the council and among those in charge of selling stands as part of the Garikai Projects. These people are after the bigger stands only and these are the stands they are issuing twice.
My stand has been taken over and, as I write, I am trying to recover what is rightfully mine. It is a very difficult and trying process and I do not know if I will get it back, or get any financial recompense.
Please publish my letter and draw attention to the gross injustice being done in Bulawayo. NICKLSON MAKUNDE, Bulawayo

EDITOR - We are still suffering in Zimbabwe. We were allocated some stands in Bulawayo Cowadry Park, and we paid everything that we were asked.
