The Zimbabwean international, making his first start this season at the weekend, repaid coach Aki Ayiomamidis, who showed faith in him by giving him a start ahead of Oscar Ramogoadi.
The former Zimbabwe Player of the Year was called into action as early as the second minute at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban when he saved a Bradley Ritson effort. Murambadoro was again at his best in the 20th minute when he deflected another Ritson effort away for a corner which. At the other end, fellow Zimbabwean international, Gilbert Mushgazike again found some space just before the break, however his shot was easily saved by the AmaZulu keeper.
A plethora of chances missed in the second half culminated in a goalless draw. Murambadoro, who has previously played at Hellenic and Benoni Premier United in South Africa, had a forgettable 2009/10 season. While at Wits, he suffered an ankle injury and was ruled out for the rest of the season. He recovered earlier than anticipated but could not be registered as Wits had exhausted its quota of foreign players. He is on loan to Aces, who together with basement club Jomo Cosmos are facing relegation.
