It is our hope that the information provided will be useful to our constituency of readership, particularly the leaders at the local level and civil society practitioners, in informing and shaping their choice of developmental objectives and initiatives.
Plumtree– Residents have resolved to form a team that will approach the town council management over the stagnant development in the town, yet residents pay exorbitant rates to council. They also realized the need for a progressive residents association which will discuss contentious issues that affect residents. This came after concerns were raised that Plumtree Town is not developing even after hefty utility bills are paid.
Zimnyama– Community members, whose area is about 10km away from the Botswana border, have said that they feel like outsiders yet they are rightful Zimbabwean citizens who deserve efficient information as the rest of the country. They said that the constitution making process has sidelined them as they are misinformed and feel that the some people push hidden agendas while purporting to educate them on the constitution.
Upcoming Events
The National Arts Council of Zimbabwe (NACZ) has scheduled for a press conference at Walkers Pub and Restaurant, on the 15th of March at 5PM, where the Director will discuss a range of issues pertaining to NACZ and its programmes.
Radio Dialogue and National Youth Development Trust (NYDT) will host a Public Speaking Youth Competition.
