Mandizvidza, 32, died last week at the Avenues Clinic after being assaulted by Zanu PF supporters at Mai Musodzi Hall in Mbare at a Copac meeting. Yesterday the MDC and Mandizvidzas family tried frantically to get the post mortem results but the police from Mbare and Homicide section were reluctant. Mandizvidza was buried today at his rural home in Zaka North, Masvingo province. Hundreds of MDC supporters from Harare and Masvingo attended his burial.
Meanwhile, the MDC Gutu Central organising secretary, Ruka Chiseva, who died on Monday, was buried yesterday at Mambeva village, Ward 35. Chiseva died after battling with injuries he sustained when he was assaulted by Zanu PF thugs in 2008 at the height of Zanu PF sponsored political violence. Speaking at the burial site, MDC Information and Publicity Secretary and Minister for Information, Communication Technology (ICT), Nelson Chamisa said; Chiseva was an epitome of true and humble leadership.
Speaker after speaker praised the bravery of Ruka Chiseva saying he was an inspiration not only to the elderly but also the youthful members of the Party, not only in Gutu Central, but the whole of Masvingo province.
Together, united, winning, ready for real change!
