HARARE - Top international sculptor, Tapfuma GutsaGutsa has won several local and international awards as a sculptor worldwide.
“I have left the National Gallery for other things,” he said in an interview. “I will tell you what I intend to do later but right now I am just taking things easy and am concentrating on personal issues.”
The National gallery of Zimbabwe is currently led by Doreen Sibanda, the wife of Misheck – President Robert Mugabe’s Chief Secretary.
The Harare facility hosts several major works of art as well as sculptures from local and international artists including Gutsa. He had been at the organisation for about one year having left his private practice at home.
