The animal had a gunshot wound on the neck and its horns were missing. The rangers found six cartridges of an AK rifle at the scene, said one ranger.
Poaching of species such as rhino and elephants has been on the increase since the advent of the chaotic land resettlement programme.
According to the National Parks and Wildlife Management Authority, at least 144 poachers were last year arrested while 31 rifles, 226 rounds of live ammunition were recovered.
Among the poachers were 125 Zimbabweans, seven Zambians, three Congolese, three South Africans and six Batswana.
