Musa and two accomplices forced their way into Masaka’s house in Rusike Suburb, June 16 and forced him to sit on a red hot plate. He sustained superficial burns on both buttocks, according to a medical affidavit signed by a Marondera Provincial Hospital Doctor, Kautare.
“After police received the medical report, wheels of justice were put in motion to bring the culprits to book. But “Lecturer” was nowhere to be found. He is now on the police wanted list.
“He could have realised that police were not going to continue treating him as a sacred cow following the recent conviction and imprisonment of his close Zanu (PF) friend, Wiseman Pfende,” said a senior Marondera police officer.
Pfende was last month sentenced to six months in jail after being found guilty of defrauding 14 Zanu (PF) supporters of more than $120 for unsupplied agriculture inputs. – Jane Makoni
