Tripple B and former Premier Soccer League (PSL) contenders Chapungu are third and fourth respectively, according to the latest log standings.
In the murky waters of relegation in the league are unimpressive sides Blankert Mine; Gweru Pirates, Shurugwi and Rutendo Stars.
ZIFA Central Region Chairman Patrick Hokonya told The Zimbabwean that the break should give teams time to regroup and re-energise their sides in the race for the premiership ticket.
“We want our teams to find new strategies to get green light of joining the supreme football league (PSL) and so they should take this break serious,” Hokonya said.
“We have teams like Tongogara and Rutendo who have been summoned for disciplinary hearing for various issues. We also have matters to do with sourcing revenue for the smooth running of the league and so the break will give us ample time to tackle all those issues,” he added.
